Website Panel Error when adding Exchange Mail Box

After updating to Web Site Panel 2.1 i had a error creating exchange mail boxes on some customers. I got a error like this in the event viewer.

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. —> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at WebsitePanel.EnterpriseServer.ExchangeServerController.GetMailboxSetupInstructions(Int32 itemId, Int32 accountId, Boolean pmm, Boolean emailMode, Boolean signup, String passwordResetUrl)
at WebsitePanel.EnterpriseServer.esExchangeServer.GetMailboxSetupInstructions(Int32 itemId, Int32 accountId, Boolean pmm, Boolean emailMode, Boolean signup, String passwordResetUrl)

Turns out the fix is simple. In the User account details for the space change the Mail Format Setting from TEXT to HTML. and it solves the issue….. not sure why but its fixed.

Escene Click to dial

I have been playing around with this for a while and i have managed to get this going. This is really just notes for me but it may have you too.

Install Chrome C2D URL

Then under options fill out the IP address and username and password (root and root by default)

Dial:  http://$phoneUsername:$phonePassword@$phoneAddress/goform/SavePhoneCallInfoCfg?DialNumber=0$number&BlackListAccountID=127&Operate=Dail

Hangup:  http://$phoneUsername:$phonePassword@$phoneAddress/goform/SavePhoneCallInfoCfg?Operate=Hangup

I’m working on this plugin to clean it up a bit and remove the status as its not needed for this phone.

MYOB Asking for Admin Password

Running MYOB with Administrator rights.

If you are running as a Windows user with administrator privileges, MYOB triggers a UAC prompt to ask for your permission to run as administrator. As the MYOB ODBC runs MYOB itself invisibly this is an issue as the UAT question would need an answer with each connection.

We do not recommend turning off the UAC. That does allow MYOB to work without the prompt but can be a security risk regarding stuff off the web you may not want to run and still does not make it work with the ODBC.

The following is specific to MYOB and does both get rid of UAC messages on MYOB and allow the ODBC to work:

  1. Using Notepad or your favourite text editor go to the MYOB program folder and open Myob.exe.manifest (or for Premier and Enterprise versions Myobp.exe.manifest)
  2. Changelevel=”HighestAvailable”to

  3. Save and Close the file

Import mysql 5.5 dump in to 5.1

If your getting the error Unknown collation: ‘utf8mb4_unicode_ci‘ Its probally becuase you trying to inport a 5.5 export to a 5.1 databse.

You can try changing

CHARSET=utf8mb4 to CHARSET=utf8

COLLATE=utf8mb4_unicode_ci COLLATE=utf8_general_ci

This will only work if you don’t have invalid caratuers in your mysql dump but it may help.

Crypto Virus’s doing the rounds again.

Hi I have a important message for you. If you receive any emails claiming to be from Auspost NSW Roads or Westpac (to name a few) here are a few tips to stop you from download a virus.

1) Check the url or website address ip the top. This

2) Capture on sites. The Hackers are using these to avoid the automated system from checking if their is a virus hosted on this site. If it seems odd the page you have been sent to the chances are it its a trick.

3) Downloading a zip file with a .exe file in it. Running the application that’s in the zip file is a really bad idea.

zip file

If in doubt please forward the email to or call and ask. A quick phone call or email can save you big $$$and lots of time and stress too.

Other tip is also if you want to check if a logon site it real. Say a banking or facebook login. Enter a password that you know is wrong. if it lets you in you then the site is a fake.

Stay Safe online.
